The content of the film was claimed to be 'highly provocative'

Mumbai: Aamir Khan’s last outing ‘pk’ was wrapped in controversy ever since the release of its first poster. Several political party members had claimed that the film hurts the sentiments of the majority community and even sought an immediate ban on the movie, saying its content is “highly provocative”. Despite all the hurdles, ‘pk’ has still managed to become the first film to collect Rs 300 crore at the box office thus becoming the highest grossing film in the history of Indian cinema.

At the DVD launch held in Mumbai today, Aamir went ahead to apologise to those people who were unintentionally hurt by certain aspects of the film. But he also stated that he's not apologetic about the film and stands by it totally. Aamir said that though he favours freedom of speech, he doesn't approve of the violent means by which certain groups protested against 'pk' after its release.

The actor is gearing up for his next film 'Dangal' where the actor has put on 22 kilos. Aamir who will be playing the role of wrestler Mahavir Phogat, is also undergoing training to learn Haryanvi language for the role. The film is still months away from shooting as the makers are yet to finalise the cast.
