WOW! Google Contacts has a completely new, refreshed look

Google has integrated Contacts with Material Design, better functionality

Google seems to be refreshing all its platforms, post the Lollipop release. Previously it was Gmail, now it is Contacts. Google Contacts, which integrates at the core services for Google +, Gmail, Hangouts and pretty much all the services, has got a completely refreshed look. Apart from looking better, Google has also added a couple of features, making it easier to use.

Google has highlighted some new features apart from bringing the older ones right up front and easier to handle. For example, finding duplicate contacts and merging them was never easier than before. Each contact card is also redesigned with complete details on it, linking their respective accounts too. For example, you can check recent emails from them right from the card itself. Google also maintains their contact details based on each person’s profile information.

The new Google Contacts has been rolled out and is live. If you aren’t seeing it as yet, you may have to wait a while till all users are updated / shifted to the new platform.
