Xiaomi has been successful in launching a series of high-end handsets in the Indian market via Flipkart in the recent past. However, Xiaomi hasn’t just stopped at that and launched a new camera - Yi Action Camera at MWC 2015 on Barcelona.
Featuring a 16MP Sony's back-illuminated image sensor, the newly introduced Xiaomi Yi Action Camera is powered by an Ambarella A7LS image processor. The 16MP camera offers four kinds of recording modes - speed, speed, movement and daily mode.
Xiaomi also claims that the H.264 encoding technology of Xiaomi Yi Action Camera allows its users to record HD videos with better clarity. Additionally, the MCTF 3D noise reduction and motion compensated temporal filtering technology can capture good images and record HD videos even in low-light environment. Xiaomi’s Yi Action Camera weighs around 172 grams, is matchbox-sized and can easily slide inside your purse.
At present, Xiaomi’s Yi Action Camera has been listed on Mi.com Store and carries a price tag of CNY 399 (estimated price: Rs 3,956). The company hasn’t made any announcement about the India launch date yet.
