Hyderabad: The works for the Metro rail overbridge have been cleared at Secunderabad station, Alugudda Bavi, Oliphanta bridge raising hopes that the connectivity issues faced by the metro will now be cleared faster.
Mr Reddy said, “We want to see measurable benefits to the people and hence the government will access the work and accordingly decide on opening the corridors.”
L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail officers did not comment on this new development. An official said, “Issues like first and last connectivity, construction of roads, feeder buses, railway safety clearance and fire clearance are still pending. Before these technical aspects are cleared, the starting of Metro Rail is not possible.
These issues have remained despite assurances but no work at ground level has been done. How can one open a service when these issues are not sorted out?”
