Andhra Pradesh to dump PCB forces

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh government has decided to abolish the task forces of Pollution Control Board and replace them with inspectors from the zonal offices and head office on a rotation basis.
Andhra Pradesh chief secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao, on Monday, held a review meeting on the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board and opined that the PCB's task forces are not really serving the purpose. A decision was taken to abolish them. He also decided to push for municipal waste treatment to have a landfill system in all municipalities and also focus on treatment of water waste.
