Veteran actor Dr Rajendra Prasad to contest for the top post of Movie Artiste Association

Veteran actor Dr Rajendra Prasad announced on Monday that he would be contesting in the upcoming Movie Artiste Association (MAA) elections for the president’s post. “I have completed 37 years in the industry and I want to serve the industry. That’s why I am contesting,” he says.

Till date, many popular actors like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Mohan Babu and Murali Mohan have served as the MAA president. All of them have been elected unanimously and unopposed. Murali Mohan has served several times as the MAA president and with Rajendra Prasad throwing his hat in the ring, the reactions are going to be interesting. The elections may be held later this month.
