Anushka plays an obese girl who falls in love in the upcoming biligual titled Size Zero

Hyderabad: While many actresses are instructed to lose weight for roles, Anushka will have to put on weight for her upcoming bilingual film Size Zero, directed by Kovelamudi Prakash. The film was launched recently.
Anushka has done quite a few female-oriented films and this one too falls in the same genre. “The story is about an obese girl who falls in love with a guy. Many girls are ridiculed for being fat and dark. In this film the makers want to say that inner beauty is what matters, rather than physical appearance,” says a source.
“Anushka is a real hero. When you put on as much as 20 kgs the face changes. But Anushka agreed to do this character and she has worked hard for this. She takes all her characters as a challenge and this one is no different,” adds the source.
Krish Jagarlamudi is writing the dialogues while Nirav Shah is the cinematographer. Arya is playing the lead opposite Anushka, while Shruti Haasan has a cameo. The film is adopted from a Hindi story written by Kanika Dhillon, adds the source.
“It is a hilarious comedy and it will also have a message,” producer P. Varaprasad (PVP), adding, “I can’t reveal anything more.”
