Here's the first look of Manoj Bajpayee from Hansal Mehta's 'Aligarh'

The actor will play the role of a gay professor, something which he has never attempted earlier

Mumbai: The first look of Manoj Bajpayee from the much-awaited film ‘Aligarh’ is finally out. The project is helmed by National Award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta.

The actor will play the role of a gay professor, something which he has never attempted earlier. This look shows Manoj as an old professor clinging to his belongings. He can be seen sporting graying hair, unkempt beard and is contemplating some deep thoughts. The film is based on the real life incident of a gay professor who was terminated from his job because of his sexuality.

Hansal Mehta will also be producing the film under the banner, Karma Pictures along with Sandeep Singh and Sunil Lulla. The film based on true events will also star Rajkumar Rao. This is the third time Hansal will be collaborating with Rajkumar after ‘Shahid’ and ‘Citylights’.
