Is Samsung revealing these two Galaxys tomorrow?
The MWC event will take off tomorrow and all eyes will be eagerly waiting to see the new flagship smartphone from Samsung. In the press invites, Samsung revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be shown off at the MWC 2015, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain. The invite teases that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will have a curved ‘something’.
According to another teaser advertisement that was seen on the T-Mobile website, an American telecom service provider, the Samsung Galaxy S6 was seen boasting of an edge display on one side. The teaser ad confirms that Samsung will release the Galaxy S6 with a curved edge display, similar to the Galaxy Note Edge that was launched last year.
However, Samsung is also rumoured to be unveiling two variants of the flagship handsets this year. While one will sport a normal display, the higher-end model will speak of a dual-edge display. According to Android Central, a new photo has been out in the wild which shows the two Samsung flagship handsets sitting side-by-side on table. While one features a standard display, the other shows off the dual-edged screen. The rear panel sports a protruding camera with a dual-flash sitting beside it.
Market speculations and analysts stated earlier that Samsung will not be using the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets on its Galaxy S6 flagships this time. The main reason was the overheating issue with the high-end Snapdragon 810 chipsets. Samsung is allegedly using its own home-brewed chipsets, Exynos, for the new flagships of 2015.
The Galaxy S6 is also alleged to sport a 20MP primary camera, an 8MP front camera, two or three internal storage variants—16GB, 64GB and 128GB, and a water-proof body. Samsung has designed the flagships with a unibody shell, which means that the battery will not be a user-removable type and it is also rumoured that the Galaxys will also exclude the Micro SD card slot, limiting the internal storage.
However, speculations, rumours and leaks will always keep us running from pillar to post. It is a matter of a few hours from now that Samsung will finally reveal the secrets and pull down the curtain on the Next Galaxy on March 1, 2015. Till then, we wait for the facts.
