Rebel MLCs uncertain about renomination

MLCs had been assured of renomination by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao
Hyderabad: The inclusion of T. Nageswara Rao and Kadiam Srihari, who are not members of the Telangana Legislature, into the Cabinet could scuttle the re-election of some MLCs who had defected to the TRS.
These MLCs had been assured of renomination by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Now, the CM needs to accommodate the ministers as MLCs from the Assembly quota, for which polls will be held in March. He has to accommodate the outgoing Council Deputy Chairman, Mr Neti Vidyasagar, from the same quota.
With this, the chances of retiring Congress MLCs K.R. Amos, K. Yadava Reddy and N. Rajalingam getting re-elected from the Assembly quota app-ears remote as of now Sources said that of the six MLC vacancies from the Assembly quota, the TRS would get four.
For its four seats, the TRS leadership seems to have settled on the two ministers, Mr Vidyasagar and MLC Bodakunti Venkateswarlu, who defected from the TD. The TRS may try to field an ot-her candidate to defeat the Opposition candidates, with support from the defector MLAs.
MLC B. Venkata Rao, who had defected to the TRS, was nominated under the Governor’s quota; sources said he will be renominated, considering his popularity. TRS sources said Speaker S. Madhusudana Chary would accept the resignation of minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav as TD legislator before the Budget session commences on March 7.
