Sri Balaji temple burgled in Hyderabad
Police suspect the accused to be a local who had surveyed the place
Hyderabad: Posing as a devotee a thief stole ornaments of the deity from the Sri Balaji temple at Jumerath Bazaar on Thursday.
Additional inspector M. Ramakrishna said that a person came to the temple saying that he want to offer puja. Police said the temple custodian handed over the key to the man. “The crook took the silver crown, plate and other ornaments of the deity. He then gave the key to the custodian and left. When the priest returned the incident came to light,” said Mr Ramakrishna.
Based on a complaint a theft case was booked. Police suspect the accused to be a local who had surveyed the place.
