Jana Reddy reminds of ‘warnings’

Telangana government is seeking special provisions from the Centre to go for the borrowings

Hyderabad: K. Jana Reddy, the Leader of Opposition in Telangana Assembly, on Wednesday said that his warnings to the TRS government on power and financial crisis have come true and the government should review its priorities at least in the coming Budget.

Mr Jana Reddy said that he had told Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao during the last session that the government cannot go for Rs 18,000 crore borrowings beyond the stipulated limit.

At that time, the CM had said that the government is seeking special provisions from the Centre to go for the borrowings. “Now, it is clear that the government was unable to get borrowings beyond Rs 10,000 crore,” he said.
