Telangana government made an administrative sanction of Rs 150 crore to purchase 500 new buses

Hyderabad: The TS government on Wednesday made an administrative sanction of Rs 150 crore to purchase 500 new buses by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation.
TSRTC has a fleet of 10,744 buses. Different types of buses, ranging from Pallevelugu to Vennela A/C sleeper, are operated to meet the requirements of passengers.
The RTC was due to replace 1,613 buses in the year . While 400 Pallevelugu buses will be purchased at a cost of RS 80 crore, the RTC will buy 100 A/C and other special type buses for Rs 70 crore.
