Chennai: Tamil Nadu Governor Dr K. Rosaiah said that services related to setting up a new business in India, namely, business entity incorporation, tax registration, trademark filing and continued compliance filing, must be made easily comprehensible and affordable. He was launching a mobile app for company registration and trademark filing by IndiaFilings.com on Wednesday.
“Currently India is ranked 158 out of 189 in terms of ease of starting a new business and 156 out of 189 in terms of ease of paying taxes.If India has to grow, the potential of Indian entrepreneurs must be unleashed and this is possible only if we can make starting and managing a business easy,” the Governor said.
He stressed that this was vitally necessary as “Entrepreneurial thinking among our youth will help India rise as a global leader.” About 67 per cent of Gen Y aimed to start their own business.
“Leveraging technology and keeping pace with the changing global scenario will pave the way for starting and managing a business. The professional services industry should come forward with the latest technologies, to improve business efficiency,” he added.
