Motorola may launch Moto E with 4G LTE today
Motorola has been in the limelight with budget smartphones ever since its comeback with the Moto G. Moving ahead, Motorola made the masses happy with an ultra-budget smartphone priced under Rs 6,000. Later, Motorola catered to the higher segment with the launch of the Moto X and went ahead to upgrade the two handsets, the Moto G and Moto X, to the next generation, with superior hardware. Now, just before the MWC 2015, Motorola has been teasing its fans with an unspecified device. It definitely is not a flagship handset as the tech giant would not reveal it before the MWC event in Spain.
However, according to Android Police, Motorola seems to make the budget smartphone hunters happier than before—a 4G-enabled low-budget smartphone. With Xiaomi playing the budget market by letting out a large-screen 4G handset under the Rs 10,000 price bracket, it is not surprising that other smartphone companies are trying the same strategy.
Android Police reported that Motorola’s Moto E handset was spotted online with Verizon showing a 4G LTE stamped on the rear panel. So is this the Moto E second generation we are waiting to be announced today? Well, in a while, Motorola will let the final news out, but till then this is what we have for now.
Motorola Moto E Second Generation seems to support 4G LTE in the same form-factor. But fans are speculating the Moto E to also sport a front camera on the new variant. Previous leaks about the Moto E Second Generation mentioned a secondary camera and a noise cancelling microphone being added. Leaks and rumours specify the device being built on a Snapdragon chipset with a 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
