New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who is in the middle of a storm for his sudden ‘sabbatical’, has more controversy taking a hit at his political career.
In a shocking incident, Jagdish Sharma, who claims to be a Congress party worker, released Gandhi’s photographs on Twitter, showing him to be camping in Uttarakhand.
According to Congress sources, Gandhi has gone on two weeks' leave.

“Jagdish Sharma (man who posted pictures of Rahul Gandhi) has nothing to do with Congress or the family,” he said.
Gandhi’s critics have been questioning the timing of his leave, considering the uproar over the Land Acquisition Bill in the Parliament. Gandhi, in his speeches has often spoken strongly about farmer rights.
A defiant Sharma, said that he had posted the pictures to debunk reports that Gandhi was in Bangkok.
“I posted pictures of Rahul ji to debunk the wrong reports that were doing the rounds about him being in Bangkok.”
Gandhi is torn between the need to persevere through the rough and tumble of politics and the need to juggle with the idealistic notions of purging his party of unwholesome influences by sacrificing the opportunity to lead the Congress that could be his for the asking, with idealism triumphing over pragmatism.
Earlier, Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh had found fault with the ‘timing’ of Gandhi’s leave.

Singh had found fault with the "timing" of Rahul Gandhi's sudden sabbatical but defended his decision to take a break for reflecting in the wake of the party's wipe-out in the Delhi Assembly elections on top of a string of electoral losses.
"If Rahul wans to reflect, what went wrong why criticise him? Every one wants some peace to reflect. Only timing could have been better," Singh tweeted.
Meanwhile, Lok Sabha sources said Rahul Gandhi has given no letter to the Secretariat about his absence from the House.
