2 Nigerian nationals and a budding Tollywood producer and recovered cocaine from them

Hyderabad: The West Zone police of Hyderabad on Tuesday raided a flat at Filmnagar and arrested three people, two Nigerian nationals and a budding Tollywood producer and recovered cocaine from them.
As per the West Zone sleuths, the two Nigerians were the producer’s drug suppliers. Cops found at least 80 gram cocaine in their possession. Following a tip off, the cops forcefully entered the flat at Filmnagar, and caught the trio red-handed.
“The 26-year-old producer was also found in possession of the banned narcotic drug,” said a police officer, who was part of the raid. According to the sources, the police informants had been following the Nigerians for a while, and the raid took place following their tip off.
Cops suspect that the dealers have more Tollywood connections and customers. They plan to extract more information during the interrogation. Cases have been booked against the trio.
In recent times, drugs and Tollywood have been inseparable. Several people have been caught red handed in drug-related cases in the past, one of them being actor Ravi Teja’s brother. Telugu film producer Murali, his assistant Ram Babu, and a budding actor were also arrested in the recent years.
