Bengaluru police serves warrant on Muhammad Nissam
THRISSUR: The Bengaluru police served a fresh warrant on Muhammad Nissam, accused in the Chandra Bose murder case, asking him to be present before the Bengaluru first class judicial magistrate court on April 17 in a case of threatening a person who had questioned Nissam for speeding under the influence of alcohol.
According to Viyyur central jail superintendent T. Baburaj, the police from Cubbon Park police station, Bengaluru, reached the prison on Monday and issued the warrant.
The incident happened a couple of years ago when Nissam tried to manhandle the man and threatened to kill him. There is already a rape case against Nissam in Bengaluru, filed by his former lover who had alleged cheating by Nissam after promising to marry her.
According to the Bose murder investigation team, both cases will help the police slap KAAPA ( Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention)Act on Nisham.
Meanwhile, the investigation team is still undecided on including Amal, Nisham’s wife, as an approver or accused in the murder case. The police had recorded her statement that she was not aware of her husband’s ‘brutality’ towards the security guard.
