Assets of water bill defaulters being seized

The customers have still failed to pay the dues

Hyderabad: In a bid to increase its monthly revenue, the Water Board has lined up a series of cases to enforce the Revenue Recovery Act to collect dues.

Unlike earlier, the Water Board has invoked the RR Act in an unprecedented manner this year. In the last one week it has used the legislation in eight cases.

On Saturday the authorities confiscated mobile assets from three defaulters. The occupants of the premises of H.No. 6-3-2, Bhoiguda, CAN No. 0712103080, with Rs 1,43,436 in arrears, CAN No. 071110512 with Rs 63,378 and H. No. 8-2-241, opposite Manohar Talkies, Secunderabad, CAN No. 071313102, who have to pay Rs 48,987, were served Red Notice and Form-I under the RR Act for seizing assets.

The customers have still failed to pay the dues. The movable assets proportionate to the dues like TVs, fridges bikes, furniture, fans and so on were seized.
