He sexually abuse her on the pretext of offering a lift on his two-wheeler

Chennai: The Tiruvallur police on Saturday arrested a 37-year-old man for attempting to sexually abuse a 15-year-old girl on the pretext of offering her a lift on his two-wheeler.
The girl, working in a company, was returning home on Friday night when the accused offered to drop her. As he was known to her, the girl accepted his offer and got on to the bike.
According to the police, when they were crossing a secluded spot, he asked her to get down and attempted to sexually abuse her. But the girl resisted him and started shouting after which he allowed her to go.
On Saturday, she informed her mother about the incident and the family lodged a complaint with the all women police station at Tiruvallur. The police traced and arrested Babu alias Micheal, a hotelier, and booked him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
