Are you the biggest ‘Spice Girls’ fan ever? Think again!
London: Woman named Liz West has been officially declared biggest Spice Girls fan on Earth and now holds a Guinness World Record, thanks to her massive collection.
The 29-year-old artist from Manchester has spent all her savings on almost 5,000 items of merchandise including thousands of CDs, posters and other items from the 90s pop group, and it accounts to so much memorabilia that it had to be moved to a museum, the Daily Star reported.
Her most recent purchase was a green stage outfit worn by Ginger Spice during the 1998 SpiceWorld tour, which cost 2,500 pounds.
West, whose collection would soon be put on display at a special exhibition at the ‘Ripley's Believe It Or Not’ attraction in London, revealed that it started when people got her band-related Christmas gifts as a kid. After which she began buying memorabilia from her own pocket money.
Natascha Crump, General Manager at ‘Ripley's Believe It or Not’ in London, said that SpiceWorld would be a fantastic addition to the 700 exhibits they already have on display.
"With the 20th anniversary of their number one hit Wannabe next year, visiting the Spice Girls exhibition is a great way to start reliving fun memories with friends or family," she added.
