Swine flu claims 7 more lives in Rajasthan, toll 212
Jaipur: Seven more persons succumbed to swine flu in Rajasthan even as BJP MLA Surya Kanta Vyas tested positive for the virus.
A CMHO official said that Vyas tested positive for the virus in Jodhpur yesterday.
Out of 4318 patients who tested positive for the HINI virus, 212 have died since January 1, an official of Medical and Health Directorate (MHD) said on Sunday.
The death toll in the state due to the virus has climbed to 212 this year.
Of these seven deaths, two patients died in Jaipur, one each died in Barmer, Jodhpur, Kota, Churu, and Bundi, the official said.
So far, Jaipur has reported the maximum of deaths with a toll of 36, followed by Ajmer 27, Jodhpur 26, Nagaur 21, Barmer 17, Kota 11, Sikar, Pali, and Chittorgarh 7 each, Banswara 6, Jhunjhunu and Tonk 5 each, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Churu, Dausa 4 each.
