K Chandrasekhar Rao is a monarch: Shabbir Ali
Shabbir Ali alleged that the CM wasted public money on luxuries
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was criticised by TPCC vice-president Shabbir Ali on Saturday for “behaving like a monarch”. He alleged that the CM wasted public money on luxuries. He said Rs 27.93 crore was spent to buy 70 new vehicles for his convoy and renovate and repair his camp office and CMO at the Secretariat and Rs 9.8 lakh spent to widen a small stretch of road on the Secretariat to facilitate easy movement of CM’s car. He also alleged that Mr Rao spent over Rs 1.5 lakh per day at a star hotel when he visited Delhi last and said his ministers and MLAs are following him.
Shabbir Ali further said that while educational institutions are facing staff and fund crunch, the TRS supremo is wasting money by appointing Advisors. He said that at least 10 retired officials have been appointed as Advisors to Government and six Parliamentary Secretaries have been nominated and accorded cabinet ranks. The Congress leader asked the Telangana Chief Minister to do a serious introspection of his decisions and take immediate measures to help the poor and needy.
