'Hunter' Glenn McGrath poses next to dead animals, apologises
Sydney: While his pace bowling exploits remain highly praised even till today, Glenn McGrath is facing a lot of criticism after pictures of him next to dead animals emerged online.
Although the pictures are removed from Chipitani Safaris- a game park in South Africa- website, they can still be found online, reported the Sydney Morning Herald on Saturday. The incident had taken place in 2008.
The pictures show McGrath beside two hyenas and a dead buffalo. Another picture also shows him posing with the tusks of an elephant.
The Australian pacer has apologised for his ‘inappropriate’ behaviour, indicating he deeply regrets ‘being involved’ in such activities.

But the Twitter users left no stone unturned criticising the former Australian pacer.
I feel sick to my stomach - Cricketer Glenn @glennmcgrath11 thinks he's a hero slaughtering animals for fun & TUSKS! pic.twitter.com/h7KF1K7xTi

Some may still admire & respect Glenn McGrath, but after seeing his trophy kills, I don't @glennmcgrath11 @AnimalsAus pic.twitter.com/pGYcL31xP6

Really don't know what to make of the Glenn McGrath hunting thing. A good, swift, hopefully sincere apology, but an awful thing to have done

I'll never see a Pink Ribbon event again without remembering the blood spilt by #GlennMcGrath @glennmcgrath11 pic.twitter.com/vCdZPvwHUy

@benpobjie hmm. I'm slightly younger than Glenn McGrath, former military, have travelled to Africa. Managed to never kill the wildlife.

Glenn McGrath’s defense is it was a difficult time in his life? Sure, we all go shoot wild animals to cope with tough times :/
