Pakistan boat row: Coast Guard DIG faces inquiry after 'unsatisfactory' reply on showcause notice
Coast Guard accused Mr Loshali of “serious misconduct” after his statement
New Delhi: The Coast Guard on Friday ordered a board of inquiry after finding the reply — of its DIG B.K. Loshali to the showcause notice served on him — to be “unsatisfactory”, even as the maritime force released a video showing the suspect boat on fire with a view to back its stand that the crew on board the suspect boat had themselves set it on fire on January 1.
The Coast Guard accused Mr Loshali of “serious misconduct” after his statement that it was the Coast Guard that blew up the boat (from Pakistan) 365 km from the Gujarat coast on December 31-January 1 on the seas.
