New Delhi: It’s not merely the petroleum ministry but espionage activities are rampant in other ministries too that deal with natural resources and infrastructure.
With ministries like telecom, coal, steel, mining, oil and gas and power dealing with multi-billion worth resources, corporate lobbies are eager to lay their hands on documents which give them prior information about polices to be implemented. This helps corporates to strategise in advance and also to lobby against any unfavourable policies to be implemented.
