WC 2015 NZ vs ENG: Twitterati mocks England’s show against New Zealand
Wellington: Not that England came in World Cup 2015 with a solid form against their name but their performance against co-hosts New Zealand in Wellington on Friday would be a top contender for their all-time poor show in ODIs.
First, they were shot down for 123 in 33.2 overs after failing to comprehend Tim Southee, who took seven wickets for 33 runs. And if that was not enough to be called as abject surrender, they then were taken to the cleaners by New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum’s 77 off 25 balls.
The Twitteratis were quick to react on England’s show or rather no-show in Wellington.

It has taken New Zealand 28 balls for them to get half way to a total England took 200 balls to reach. #CWC15 #NZvEng

This match should be X-rated and never shown to English children under the age of 17. #CWC15 #NZvEng

Dock England 50% of their match fees - split it between Tim Southee & Brendon McCullum. #NZvENG

England's batting looked as resilient as roasted papadum to me today. What's your take?

Eoin Morgan switched from Ireland to England. Bit like dumping your high school sweetheart for a wealthy-but-horrible middle-aged divorcée.
