Android Lollipop 5.1 could be here in March, Lollipop 5.2 spotted too

Google seems to be secretly testing the Lollipop 5.2 on some phones

Google’s Android Lollipop v5.0 seems to make a mark in the industry with the best update to Android till date. However, the new operating system fell drastically due to a bug in the initial version. Google was quick to fix the bugs with the release of Android Lollipop v5.0.1 and v5.0.2 respectively. Now various smartphone brands are banking on the v5.0.2 for their smartphone updates since the Lollipop update seems stable till date.

Softpedia reported that Google, however, is allegedly testing Android Lollipop 5.2, leave alone v5.1. According to the report, HTC’s VP of devices, Mo Versi revealed that the next version of Android Lollipop will hit their devices in March. This could mean that Android Lollipop’s maintenance release v5.1 is expected to see the light of day as early as next month. So you can expect the Lollipop v5.1 post March on most devices.

Softpedia also reports that they spotted Android Lollipop V5.2 running on a Nexus 5. A benchmark was uploaded online, which had details of the LG Nexus 5 running Android 5.2. Could this be a possible tweaked OS by some ROM developer or is it Google really testing the new OS version before hand? Since it is the Nexus involved, it could be highly possible that the latter is true. Well, at this stage, we can only wait for more news to come our way.
