Uttar Pradesh DGP tells all police stations to get his photo

Each photograph of the DGP is being made available for Rs 275 each

Lucknow: Building temple for Narendra Modi or Mulayam Singh Yadav or installing statues of Mayawati are a thing of past now. A top cop is all set to give these leaders a run for their money when it comes to narcissism.

A major controversy has erupted over an order issued by the DGP A. K. Jain asking police officials to purchase and put up framed photographs of the police chief in their offices.

Each photograph of the DGP is being made available for Rs 275 each. The letter asks police officials to obtain 8 x 10 inch big colour photo of the DGP on 14 x 18 inch mount.

The DGP Arvind Kumar Jain is a 1979 batch IPS officer and is due to retire on March 31. The social activist said that this was a waste of money.
