When boarding an international flight, going through the customs becomes quite a headache. And to solve the issue of long queues, an app called the Mobile Passport has been developed. The app is officially recognised by the US government, and it comes from a company called Airside.
The app does not replace your physical passport book, it essentially shortens the procedure by generating a QR code from the flight information you feed in. This QR code, presumably, shortens the whole process of going through the documents.
However, there is a catch to this! This Mobile Passport app for now can only be used at one airport, which is the Hartsfield-Jackson airport in Atlanta. We are sure the app will become usable at other airports soon. Even though its available for just one airport, the app is totally worth checking out. It is available for download for both iOS and Android users.
