Andhra Pradesh roped in Siemens to help youth develop skills

Siemens to set up 6 skill development centres with an investment of Rs 3,500 crore
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet met on Monday and decided to rope in global company Siemens to set up six skill development centres with an investment of Rs 3,500 crore to train the state’s youth.
Siemens will offer its courses to B.Tech graduates, among others, as per the need of global industrial sector. The government will contribute 10 per cent of the total amount. Over 2.20 lakh students and youth will be trained.
Several other important decisions were also made. The state government will seek permission to export red sanders. Officials have also been told to go and work on field till 2 pm and come to office after that. A corporation will be set up for beautification of cities as part of the smart cities and smart AP project.
