Andhra Pradesh collectors can cancel land allotment

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday issued orders empowering district collectors to cancel or resume allotted lands in case of violation of conditions or non-utilisation of the allotted land in favour of private individuals and organisations and government organisations departments.

This will allow the government to cancel or resume all land allotment made by the previous government to various private companies. The state has announced it intends to take lands from VANPIC and Lepakshi Knowledge hub among others.
