Retired Indian cricket icon shares moments from his life after retirement

Mumbai: Retired cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar posted a video (on Facebook) sharing moments of his life, on Monday. The 41-year-old seems to be relishing his personal space after 24 years of international cricket.

Tendulkar, who loves his morning tea, said: “For years, I have lived in hotels. The last thing I want now is somebody from room service knocking at the door with tea early in the morning around 6.30-7.

“I make my own tea when I wake up. I do it regularly. I like my privacy, sitting in a corner, maybe read the newspaper.”

The legendary batsman is also a foodie. He said his mother taught him to respect food.

“Right from Japanese to Thai, you name it. I am a big time foodie,” he added.

However, the cricketer has taken it easy on the gym front. “The other day my wife was working out with me. She had started earlier. I joined her later. When she asked me how long I would take, I replied ‘I’m done whenever’. Earlier, I needed to do certain things regularly before leaving the gym,” said Tendulkar.
