Jagan Mohan Reddy seeks special tag for Andhra Pradesh

‘We are opposed to the acquisition of multi-crop land from farmers’

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh opposition leader Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday met Central ministers. He urged the Centre to sanction special category status and funds for the AP capital and to solve the water row between AP and TS.

After meeting Union home minister Rajnath Singh Mr Jagan said, “We have given a memorandum on various issues including the way in which land is being acquired by CRDA, the situation arising out of the water dispute, financial packages etc. We have told the Mr Singh about how the water dispute has taken an ugly turn and the plight of farmers affected by CRDA’s policy. We are opposed to the acquisition of multi-crop land from farmers.”
