Villages to turn IT hubs soon
Hyderabad: The taluka office in the villages may soon boast of small data centres and host their services online if the government successfully implements its digital India initiative, feels electrical solutions firm Schnieder Electric.
The company’s general manager for data centre business development Amod Ranade says, “The cost of installing data centres has reduced over the years with new technologies that have resulted in increased efficiency. This could allow the authorities even at the grassroot level like the taluka offices to use these technologies to provide clear-ences and other services online, in tune with the government’s digital India initiative.”
The IT sector boom has also created a huge demand for data centres and its maintainence services which the company plans to tap in order to become the the leading data centre consultant in India.
