Ernst & Young to pen Andhra Pradesh vision 2029
Hyderabad: If it was McKinsey that had prepared the Vision-2020 document for the Chandrababu Naidu-government in undivided Andhra Pradesh, this time it is Ernst and Young LLP that will be preparing the Vision-2029 document to transform the residuary state into “Swarnandhra”.
The AP government has signed a Rs 12.62-crore deal with Ernst and Young to prepare the Vision-2029 document within six months. The company will prepare the document by mainly working from Hyderabad – it is setting up its office at Greenlands near Begumpet.
Officials in the planning department told DC that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has asked Ernst and Young to prepare the Vision-2029 document keeping in view the target set by him to take the state’s growth rate into double digits.
“As of date, the growth rate of AP is 6.94 per cent and that of India 7 per cent. When the Vision-2020 document was prepared, the growth of the state was less than 5 per cent. Ernst and Young was selected through a tender process. About 14 global firms competed and Ernst and Young emerged as the successful bidder,” an official said.
