Flipboard can now be used on your web browser

Users can select content sources to create their own ‘magazines’

Previously available only through a mobile app, the popular content aggregator can now be used through a browser as Flipboard for the Web.

Released in 2010, the Flipboard app uses RSS feeds to present content from various social networks and websites in a unified magazine-like format. Users can select content sources and topics that interest them to create their own 'magazines',which can be set as private or publicly shared. Now all of these features are also available on a desktop or laptop.

The new web version has a search function and allows readers to scroll down through an endless newsfeed, rather than turning virtual pages. The website has a responsive design, meaning that it automatically adjusts to the screen size of the device used to view it.

Flipboard currently has around 50 million monthly users.
