The first look launch has been delayed allegedly due to Team Indian's dismal performance
Mumbai: As they say, Bollywood and Cricket form two distinct religions in the country and now with the buzz around M S Dhoni's biopic, it seems that sports and films have become inseparable. The biopic which promises to star Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role, helmed by Neeraj Pandey was touted for a launch during the World Cup this year.
However the latest reports that have emerged could leave fans disappointed. According to a report in Mid-Day, the film's launch have been delayed due to Indian team’s dismal performance.
A source was quoted saying, “India’s poor form has been a cause of concern with several experts and ex-cricketers doubtful about the team’s chances of victory in its opening match. So, the makers of the Dhoni biopic were sceptical of flying down to Australia and making the announcement there.”
The film has already been postponed due to Dhoni’s sudden announcement of retirement from Tests which resulted in re-working on the script. While the makers of MS Dhoni’s biopic had big plans to unveil the first look of Sushant Singh Rajput film during India’s World Cup opener again Pakistan on coming Sunday, looks like the wait has been prolonged.
