Tweaked version spotted for WhatsApp Plus on iOS 8.1.2
WhatsApp Plus, the unofficial version for WhatsApp, was recently banned. However, it made a comeback with a ban-free version, which avoids users getting banned from the WhatsApp team. WhatsApp Plus has been available for Android users, who have to sideload it as it is not available on Google Play Store. It was also available for iOS users who have jailbroken their device.
Now, WhatsApp Plus shows off its compatibility with iOS devices that are updated to iOS 8.1.2. The Fues Joplin reported that WhatsApp Plus is available via Cydia for free and features some exciting tweaks that official WhatsApp users don’t get.
Stealth mode: WhatsApp Plus features stealth mode, which allows users to stay under cover by hiding their last-seen time stamps. You can log using incognito mode and chat while still showing up as offline for your friends.
Disable read receipts: Using the feature, you can disable your read receipts that are forwarded to your friends, and not letting them know that you have read the conversations.
Night mode: Users can use this unique feature to change the theme to a more subtle colour for night use. The feature was available as a test (unstable) mode back on iOS 7, but is now fully functional.
Share music: WhatsApp Plus users are able to share large files, such as music, photos and videos to their friends.
WhatsApp Plus can be downloaded from Cydia app store, provided you have jailbroken your iOS device. In order to run WhatsApp Plus and the tweaks, you will also need to install the original WhatsApp app from the App Store. WhatsApp Plus is an unofficial, modified version of the original WhatsApp app, which features additional themes, emoticons, and much more, that the original app does not.
Note: Jailbreaking your iOS device will void warranty. Jailbreaking your iOS device could damage your smartphone if you do not know how to do it. Use of unofficial WhatsApp Plus could end up in users being banned from WhatsApp in future. Do the needful at your own risk.
