Hyderabad: The Hyderabad cyber crime police started an inquiry into the ‘shame rapists’ clip uploaded by activist Sunitha Krishnan. The rapists are yet to be identified and the police doubt if they are from Telangana.
Meanwhile, south zone police is yet to arrest anyone regarding the attack on Sunitha Krishnan’s car. Police said the incident occurred within minutes of the video clip being uploaded. They asked who in the old city could be so quick to come and destroy her vehicle after that.
“The video and this incident has no connection. Who could watch that clip, and then attack her car within few minutes. And we are not even sure if the rapists are from Hyderabad,” said an officer from south zone.
Miscreants damaged the windscreen of Sunitha’s car while it was parked near her office at the Charminar bus stand on Friday. Meanwhile, the Cyber Crime Cell police is examining the video clips uploaded by Ms. Krishnan on social networking sites. The cops questioned her own employees, who were present at the spot.
