Father MS Dhoni in no hurry to leave for India
Mumbai: Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s day after he became a father was a “normal” and “usual” one, according to Biswarup Dey – the manager of the Indian cricket team.
“Dhoni attended the morning training session and was also present for the team dinner at night on Saturday,” said Dey.
There was no celebration, nor talk of his fatherhood. Dhoni has come here to play the World Cup and is concentrating on his mission,” he added.
Dhoni did not even want to leave for India immediately.
Sakshi, his wife, and the newly-born baby girl were sleeping when approached at Fortis Memorial Research Institute.
“Sakshi is very tired and the girl was crying whole night on Saturday. Hence, Sakshi could not sleep properly,” Dhoni’s mother-in-law said.
Talking about naming the girl, she added: “That will be decided by Sakshi and Dhoni.”
She did not even want to speculate who the child resembles. The delivery was supervised by Dr Anjila Aneja.
