Washington: A report has said that Swiss watchmaker Swatch is set to bring in a new smartwatch in the next two to three months.
The launch is expected to happen alongside the April release window set for Apple Watch's launch earlier this month, reported The Verge.
The smartwatch is expected to come with "communication" abilities and applications compatible with Windows and Android. The report said that it would also allow users to make mobile payments, although Swiss grocery stores Migros and Coop are the only known partners.
However, the feature that will give Swatch an upper hand over other smartwatch is that it will not require charging.
The battery life of the Apple watch has been a major point of contention even before its release with rumors placing it at just under a day's worth.
