Be liberal to Andhra Pradesh: Dr Palle Raghunatha Reddy

Hyderabad: The Central government should not look at Andhra Pradesh on par with other states, said IT minister Dr Palle Raghunatha Reddy reacting to the recent grant of Rs 850 crore, released by the Centre. “It needs to be more liberal to AP in granting special status, incentives, packages and other grants as the state was bifurcated unscientifically,” Mr Reddy said adding, “We are confident of convincing the Centre to be liberal with AP while making allocations in the ensuing Union Budget. There is no use in being aggressive with the Centre. Centre is positive and has made a beginning by giving Rs850 crore.”
