Shah Rukh Khan's 'Fan' postponed, Karan Johar's 'Brothers' to release in August
Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited film ‘Fan’ which was initially to release on August 14 has now been postponed. The official Twitter handle of Yash Raj Film’s tweeted the news on Friday, Febuary 6.
They posted, “YRF’s #FAN release being delayed to complete never-seen-before VFX. New date coming soon.”
According to reports, Shah Rukh who will be seen in a double role, will be playing a superstar and a middle-class man who looks just like the star. The commoner obsesses over the star to such an extreme that the superstar then feels threatened by him.
Producer Aditya Chopra has now offered the initial release date of ‘Fan’ to his good friend Karan Johar for the release of his film ‘Brothers’ which stars Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra.
Karan also took to Twitter to announce the news. He posted, “Adi just called and asked me to release BROTHERS on the 14th of August, 2015 as FAN is postponed…gestures like this make my day special.”
Even Sidharth tweeted, “Now #brothers will release on 14th of August 2015 at a theatre near you! See you there.”
‘Brothers’ which is directed by Karan Malhotra is the official Bollywood remake of the film ‘Warriors’, and also stars Jacqueline Fernandez.
