Shooting in Kashmir may perhaps have meant more to Katrina Kaif than just working on a project at hand. Not many know this, but Katrina Kaif’s father is from Kashmir. And so going to shoot in the Valley for the first time for Abhishek Kapoor’s Fitoor was kind of a homecoming for the actress, a rather painful one at that.
A friend of the actress says, “Kashmir carried painful memories of her childhood when her father was part of her family in London. After he left, he never saw her again. She has always associated Kashmir with her father. She had stored away the memories in a corner of her mind.”
This is her first time in the Valley. The friend adds, “She never wanted to go there. But she isn’t someone who would run away from a situation. We are sure she has by now dealt with the painful memories.”
