K Chandrasekhar Rao did not want to delay hike
Hyderabad: The Chief Minister said that he did not want to delay the implementation of the PRC’s recommendation. “I don’t want to delay it further. The Election Commission has asked the legislature to name the Returning Officer and Assistant Returning Officer for the ensuing MLC elections. Once elections are notified, the PRC cannot be implemented. Telangana government is employee friendly,” he said.
Describing the employees’ role in the Telangana movement including Sakala Janula Samme as historic, Mr Rao said that the employees continued the agitations despite facing ACB cases, transfers and threats.“We have looked into the financial implications. Finance minister Etela Rajender, senior officials Nagi Reddy, Shiva Shanker and others held series of discussions with TNGO leader Devi Prasad, PRTU leader Venkat Reddy, Narender, Srinivas Goud and others. A committee was also constituted under Pradeep Chandra. They deserve it,” he added.
The Chief Minister also sanctioned pay for the 42 Sakala Janula Samme strike period too, adding that the anomalies in pay would be rectified soon.Asked about the fate of contract and outsourcing employees, the Chief Minister parried the question saying it would come next. To another question, he said that government employees who had retired on June 30 last, would also get the revised pay.
Mr Devi Prasad said minimum scale for employees would be fixed, adding that any anomaly in scales of employees would be corrected.
