Delhi polls: Vote for AAP, tweets West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee

‘Vote for AAP for development in Delhi’

New Delhi: AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal just might have found a fan in West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Banerjee, known for her ‘headstrong’ attitude took to Twitter to express her support for the party.

In her tweet, she urged Delhi to vote for AAP to foster ‘development’ in the national capital.

The high-octane election is Delhi is a three-way battle between AAP, BJP and Congress.

Some opinion polls clearly give AAP an edge over the two parties, while others hint towards a hung assembly.

BJP has fielded former top cop-turned politician Kiran Bedi as its Chief Ministerial candidate. During her rallies, Bedi trained guns at Kejriwal on several ocassions, calling him ‘toxic and highly negative’.

Learning lessons from his 49-day stint as Chief Minster, Kejriwal has vowed not to resign if chosen to power in the national capital.

Polling for Delhi elections will take place on February 07 and results would be declared on February 10.
