Bollywood’s tryst with shelved projects

The script of Madamji sounded similar to Mallika Sherawat’s film Dirty Politics

Has Priyanka Chopra’s Madamji been cancelled?
=============================================
Priyanka Chopra’s plans of turning producer have hit a roadblock as her venture Madamji is apparently shelved. The film, that tells the story of the rise of a bar dancer to an influential politician, was to be directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. While the team behind the film remains tight-lipped about the sudden closure of what promised to be another heroine-centric film for PC after Mary Kom and Fashion, a reliable source spilled the beans. “Madamji is not happening at the moment. The script about the item girl who becomes a politician sounded similar to Mallika Sherawat’s character in K.C. Bokadia’s Dirty Politics,” says the source.
So has Madamji gone for script revision? “Not at the moment,” says the source. “The subject doesn’t sound exciting enough.” Madhur did not respond to calls or messages.

Producer Dinesh doesn’t want to talk about his film with Parineeti
=============================================
He tasted success with Finding Fanny and now Dinesh Vijan is looking forward to the release of his next Maddock production, Badlapur. However, ask him about his other film that he was supposed to do with Parineeti Chopra and he says, “I’m not doing that as of now.” Clearly he’s in no mood to talk about the project that has been reportedly shelved. The producer will be soon taking the plunge into direction. “Homi Adajania and I will co-direct a film soon. It’s a reincarnation movie, which is also a love story. Homi and I have always had great fun working together. I developed the script and narrated it to him,” he says.

Dinoo also adds that his equation with Saif is restored finally “My relationship with Saif is healthy and we have a balance now. A movie with him is also on the cards and we will hopefully start shooting by the end of this year,” he said. Back to Badlapur, Dinesh says that the idea was to make an unadulterated Sriram Raghavan film. “He narrated the story, I was quiet for five minutes and I told him that I will make it if you don’t corrupt it, let’s keep this film pure. He agreed and everything else followed.”
