Tata firms show interest in Telangana

The statement said that a senior team from the Tata Group will visit Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Tata Group has expressed its willingness to invest in some projects planned by the Telangana government.

According to a statement issued by the state IT department, India’s largest business group has evinced its interest in helping the state in its working out the possibility of light rail system as a feeder service to metro rail, support the government’s efforts in setting up electronic hardware park, and other industrial townships. Tata Power officials showed their willingness to take up generation of 100 MW solar power and generate power-using biomass at wastelands.

The statement said that a senior team from the Tata Group will visit Hyderabad to work out modalities for the collaboration. Tata Advanced Systems, which is already operates from Hyderabad, has promised to take up new projects at Adibatla facility and the upcoming aerospace extension park.

Tata Projects, another Hyderabad-based Tata Group firm, expressed its interest to participate in the execution of the water grid project. Tata Housing has agreed to participate in the slum redevelopment programmes in Hyderabad.
