CRDA nod for building finalisation scheme in Andhra Pradesh
The AP government will regularize unauthorised constructions
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet on Monday approved the Building Finalising Scheme to regularise illegal constructions in municipalities across the state. The AP government will regularize unauthorised constructions and constructions which have deviated from rules in all municipalities.
The government will regularise such constructions if they are only in approved layouts. But the government will not regularise illegal constructions in the limits of AP Capital Region Development Authority, on government lands and on water bodies.
After the Cabinet meeting, speaking to reporters, AP information minister, Palle Raghunath Reddy said that the government is considering waiving the interest if the people pay their house tax arrears. He said some people did not pay house tax over two to three years. He said the government is also considering one time settlement in these cases.
The minister said that the cabinet has approved to set up a PI data centre near Mangalagiri in Guntur district. He said an US-based firm will set up this centre at an expense of Rs 600 crore.
He said the Cabinet has decided to hand over 10 acres of land to the American company on lease for 33 years. However, the minister did not reveal the name of that company and repeated queries on this went unanswered.
He said all government and public data will be available in this PI data centre. When asked how the government will give all official data to an American based company, the minister said that the centre will collect the information available on the internet.
